	high-growth microfinance institutions that create opportunity for the poor, particularly in Latin America and South East Asia;
	new financial products and services that address unmet needs of individuals at the BOP;
	alternate delivery channels for financial and other essential services; and
	services that link unconnected individuals and communities to global systems (information services, communication services and education).

As an early investor in this market, we are aware of the time and resources it takes to scale a business focused on poor communities, and therefore, support entrepreneurs in reducing the time required to expand and grow their companies. We have invested both at the earliest stages of a company's development and in the growth phase. We are long-term partners who bring a global network to each of our investments. We offer board level strategy and hands-on management support that comes from years of experience investing in mainstream and BOP focused companies. We offer demonstrated credibility and experience in the microfinance sector, high quality relationships and strategic partners, and a proven ability to attract upstream investors. We are focused on ensuring strategic alignment between Elevar and our investee companies.
